I like my vinyl like I like my women: cheap and cheerful.
I'm not going to waffle on about this too much - just to say it's one of my favourite finds ever (dug from a crate in an old Steptoe's Yard-style junk shop in the eighties for 10p or something). Spyder Turner's I Can't Make It Anymore (MGM K13692) is a proper bit of stomping Northern Soul, and you can both preview and download it here.

No what is that pint you got there???
I'm glad you asked - it was a pint of Sam Adams, being consumed in Las Vegas, where the beer was - in many places - a microbrewed marvel!
John, thanks for stopping by Wallofsound (http://wallofsound.wordpress.com/2007/12/12/some-points-about-the-uk-northern-soul-scene-and-us-soul-music-remade/). Glad you enjoyed the Northern Soul essays there. And thanks for sharing Spyder Turner, especially with the great scan. Us adopted Brummies must stick together!
I also notice you're a Swamp Dogg fan. And me!
I'm a MASSIVE Swamp Dogg fan - I'm going to upload some of his tunes soon, too. I've got an excellent C.L.Blast tune in the pipeline, too.
